PicYou Version 1.5
Hey all! There’s a new version of PicYou itching to come out.
With the recent influx of new users, we’ve received a great amount of valuable feedback. Listening carefully to the suggestions and concerns over the past few weeks, we chose the most important ones to roll out ASAP. New features you’ll see in PicYou version 1.5 are:
Privacy Option
Privacy is a top priority for us and to providing it to our users. We believe that the PicYou experience should be fun and enjoyable as well as safe and secure. With the new Privacy feature, only your followers will see your photos. The Privacy feature will also require your approval before users start following you on PicYou.
Search & Invite Friends
At the moment there is no option to search friends outside of Facebook or Twitter. With the new PicYou version 1.5, the ability to search users on PicYou will be possible. You’ll also be able to invite friends from your contact list. This will make searching and inviting your friends so much easier.
Blocking Unwanted Users
Want to block a specific user? With the new version, you’ll be able to block a user from seeing your photos, following you, commenting and liking your photos. You can always unblock the user if you change your mind.
New Icon
And to add to the fresh new features, we’re giving our icon a fresh new look!

As always, your feedback is much appreciated so don’t hesitate to drop us a note at contact@picyou.com.
Cheers,
The PicYou Team
Instagram Users Unhappy with Android App
You might have heard that Instagram recently launched their Android App. While this may be music to the ears of Android users, most iPhone users are unhappy and others downright outraged! Here’s what some Twitter users had to say:
“I’m annoyed that instagram is coming to the Android soon… it should just be an iPhone thing,” wrote @Anthony_CA
“I’m absolutely #outraged that Instagram is on Android now,” wrote @Chino_Wanker
“Don’t follow me on instagram if you got an Android. Only iPhone users following this way. Im blocking Android users. This is war,” wrote @iFollowBlindPpl
So why is there so much negative feedback? It’s all about exclusivity. Before launching the Android app, Instagram catered only to iPhone users who were proud of the exclusive service. Now their feeds will be mixed with both Android and iPhone photos.
Was it worth for Instagram to lose loyal members only to gain a wider market? We don’t think so. That’s why PicYou is exclusively for the iPhone and always will be!
Do you use Instagram for iPhone? If yes, tell us what you think of the recent news in the comments.
